GLUE AND BLUE

So it has been a long weekend I worked in some of my new paintings and the project for the gallery and I posted someof the stuff i ve been doing lately, well the other experiment ive been working in is this one its a nice canvas 120 x 90 cm and ive chosen blue cus is one of my faborite colours, im trying to achieve some good controlled and yet organic textures and im trying to simulate my own lines the woobly ones i normally do for starting or drawing, as you have seen before, well i like this one im actually going to hang it in my room and now im ready for start working with this kind of texxture. well here is the glue with blue one.

EXPERIMENTS 1

Hello my beloved fans, as you should know by now i left Norway almost a year ago to return to my home land. this time im living in a place called veracruz, an industrial port in the west of Mexico. its a nice enough place and i used to work in stripclubs, nothing amazing but it payed. since i came and started working there i stoped  everything related to my art, probably some weekends i did some trys but nothing really exiting, my booklets stoped completly and they were filled with ideas for the strip bars and such, it was not good for my growth as an artis but at the same tiem gave me another point of view. and i apreciated a lot the experience i i learned a lot from my bos and his son, very nice people by the way. the actually rock , but the business in it self was heavy as shit but i ve already talked about this a lot so its time to let go, well you have known me for my drawings and paintings so its time for me to show you what little ive done with other media, im actually working right now in a project for a big intallation but ill post more bout it later this year.

Well this is some stuff ive been working with that has nothing to do with paint, or well it has to do but not the canvas, oil paint stuff, and well as soon as you see them i think you will understand, i started to do this a little over a year ago, i was in mexico getting ready to go back to norway from a short vacation and I got invited by my friend Gustavo Abascal to a porcelain painting workshop, I was a little dubious about it, and mostly lacy cus it was actually in the other side of the city. I finally decided to show and i must say i loved it, its an awesome media all of it, from working in creating the inks, buying the porcelain plates till the oven process over 800° celcious or celcius i dont know and i dont care. I did some work there its not exactly a whole project with a theme and stuff but its mostly various experiments with materials colors and shapes. here some of the plated i made in that place, i actually made more of them some of them are actually posted in this same blog with wrestlers and stuff so this is the other side of the work i did there the things that brought me there.


THE PORCELAIN EXPERIMENTS

after actually working with this I realized i wanted soemthing more rich in shape so i decided to go in the the same place to the sculpture workshop and try to learn to make porcelain  figurines to then be able to do this same stuff over them and probably create some fine stuff to showoff but i really discovered that im not as good as i use to be playing with clay and i lack  of the patience to do it too, i  discovered that i think like a million times faster than i can work with my hands. That is wrong cus every time i go from a piece and return to it the idea is totally diferent that probably why ive always worked without much planning and just going for it, I improvise most o the  time and then go with that and its the way i normally work so with this processes the porcelain painting and mostly the sculpture thing i just discovered that i need to have patinece and follow a plan, some of the stuff im not very into, i di it in the porcelain and it turned good, but the sculpture was mostly desperation im now trying more of it so i hope this experience showed me how to have a little more patience with this. well here is some of the ceramic sculpture i worked with i hope you like them jo jo jo.

THE BOXING MATCH

This post is turning to be a big one i didnt know i had all this to say about this pieces that were actually forgotten in a corner of my house well of of them but this one, this is a project i m working with in the nights while watching some nice tv show, mostly southpark or some stupid police chasing real people show in trutv,   I just sit there like a nice old lday take my sip of cocacola and start embroidering, my stiches are awfull but its actually a relaxing thing, i know ive talked about patience here, and trust mei have non, but with this as well as washing disehs im actually hoping i never finish, its a nice work. and it takes some tiem but i enjoy it a lot. the only setback is that im thumb hurts, you need to get some thiker skin ther ei htink you get it after a while and it hurt less everyday but its really soar. well here is one of the pieces that im working with this technique im enjoying so much.

IN THE FUTURE...

Its not finished, and i think it will never be cus the moment i finish it, it will be part of the the past, and its exaclty what I dont want.

IM SO SICK OF IT!

So its 2013, and im back producing, I was working as the comercial director of a company that has strip clubs, but in mexico strip clubs menaas prostitution, so i quitted it was hard it had mafia included and it was not healthy for me, im now recovering for the little sleep and the lot of alcohol included with that life. now im in my studio, or something i adapted as a studio and im trying to get in motion again, i never thought it was going to be this hard after almost 1 year of being away from my art, not 100 % but kinda not taking it seriously and just having it as a weekend activity and never very serious, i was mistaken its like a mucle if you quit doing it it get fuckt. 

but well now im back working in some mixed canvases, mostly little size and for the first time of my life im confortable working in little format im so used for at least 1 meter of papaer or canvas to be able to work, other than my booklets but those are mostly for sketching so, i went uf got 3 wooden plates and made my self 3 little frames to work with and i got some impresions of clouds so im trying to make something with them, its not much but is a start.

for giving my self some presure I the galery ArteTalcual to give me a deathline for a project and well its the 18 of january so im working in a project for them, its just in word document right now for presenting and see if im going to get some gallery space for produce it. this time im going to work with space, and not just form and color, so i really need to know if im going to be able to have the space. 

well its has been good this first weeks of this new year i have a lot of things going on, im working a little designing and making webpages too. but that is just for pay some materials and food. 

here is some of the things that ive finished this first week of my 2013 work. i hope you like it!

first some normal bond paper with pencil, ink and some water color, of course i need to start there cus is my favorite media, im working right now in more of those but here is an example of how it is going, i must say the colors are not as good as they really are i cant get a hold of a nice camera, and im not very good as a photographer so its quite dificult. 

ok as i said before i printed clouds over bond paper, i was trying to get something going before getting materials and stuff and well i had some paper a nice computer and a good printer so i did it then i decided to use all this little offcie stuff i had, pencils, pens, and markers and then i watercolored it. the color as i said before is not good in this picture but it gives an idea of how fuckt im after almost 1 year of not paying attention to my art. 

This one is a nice big half sheet of fabirano paper non acid stuff and its about 90 x 70 and well i got out of white ink so its what i was able to acomplish, i love it its hanging in my apartment too. i know is very cheap to hang your own work but my place was a little too empty so im giving it a little to show. 

This is one of the sky print in bond paper i was telling before, this one was the first i made a few weeks ago when i decided to quit that job, and to return to my real passion which is this, so i went to the really basic  stuff ink and markers, office stuff, cus i was working in my brothers offcie while setting up a space for really produce. I framed it with a ver cheap frame from homemart it was less than $3 usd. and well i hanged it just for remeber what happens if you stop the momentum and try to get back as if nothing happens.

this one is a 140 cm x 80cm canvas i made some tiem ago i just finished a few days ago, its now hanging in my apartment and it really looks cool . its some kind of representation of mexico city or soemthinglike that having a view form google maps and a little inking over cartoon simple stule, and then fusion them. 

THE FLOWERS IN LITTLE FORMAT

 I´ve never been good painting in litte format i like my strokes big and dirty, but this time i got rid of the "big", I worked in this three flowers i actually scratched the paint out of the canvas for the flower pots and some of the things in this paintings, i used textile colors, ink acrilycs and herbal infussions. in this little frames i made for it they are not the same size cus im almost as bad a s a good cutter as im as a photographer , but well they are soemthing between 30 cm and 21 cm lol.. they are in my facebook and people talk a lot about them . I dont find them my self very interesting they were an excersize to get into color and stuff, and they served they prupose so im happy with them, if someone come and buy them ill be more happy with them. 

this is all the stuff i have to post today, and ill tel lyou in advance that i already have a schedule of my posting in an excel file, you acomplish a lot of things with a nice organization, as funny as it  sounds i learned that in my stripper club work while watching hores and mafia guys there. i just started making plans for producing art and learned a lot of stuff of the low life in veracruz, its a nice enough place but its very  very agressive.

THIS IS THE TITLE... IS IT?

Hello my beloved fans, it has been a long time, now im working in the restaurant/bar industry im in charge of the advertising and comercial expansion of 6 places 2 restaurants  2 bars and 2 stripclubs. its quite interesting but i dont like this work that much i have almost no time for producing my stuff and that means its hard for me. so im working in one comision for one of this restaurants its a big one and its still not finished but i was hoping to post something at least half way done for keep this magnificent and extremly pretty blog on going. im working in a couple of other little things due the short time i have for this im working again in the booklets and i do it in my spare time, so im wiritng one page short stories and illustrating them i still not going to show them till i get at least 10 done for me to take pictures and post them. well that is what is happeing in my life, my wife is back in norway working in her masters im stucked in veracruz in this job, missing her like crazy. and life keep going.

im also trying to work in my first real non painted art thing an installation with some wood tiles and grass im working on it in googlesketch and then im going to use some time to build it its going to be cool but still in the computer. im also ... shit now that im thinking im actually working in  alot of things and i was complaning about having no time for it... mmm interesting!!

 well have a nice week im trying to post more often i know i promise this a lot buy im still trying.

Booklet 11 and a preview of 12.. or something muahahahah

hello as i promised in my previous post, I spent some time taking pictures of the contents of booklet 11 and a couple of the ongoing booklet 12. im about to post here about 30 pictures containing my work in a very personal way. im actually going to document and post the other 11 booklets. why 11? well there is an 8.5 btween 8 and 9. I cant do this right now cus they are in a gallery ( ArteTalcual )as we speak. So im picking them up soon and then work in a couple of days of nice pictures and things. i hope you like this booklets represent my work of the last 5 years, when i decided to move to Norway with my beloved wife and noticing that moving canvases and painting materials was extremly hard and mostly expensive, I decided to work in a travel firendly format. so here it is the booklet 11 and some of the 12 hope you like it.

i must say i should have cutted the pictures for make them more pro, but i thought of it, the idea of this booklets is exatly that, raw material with no censorship in any way so the pictures are the same. if its double of one page its ment to be as it is, so enjoy.

this is booklet 12 i started it a couple of days ago, while i was in a place called Rocapartida 3 hours from Veracruz, a nice virgin beach full of fun and good stuff. ill probably post some pictures of the place soon. cus they are cool, but well i met some local surfers the day i was starting the booklet and my black pen died there... sad but i got a new one so its all right here is a little preview of the booklet 12 i hope you like it.

well thats is for this post, I will try to get the other 11 booklets asap, but for now its enough. i must say i miss my wife and she is coming in a couple of months so i will have a lot of free time for work in the 12 and the upcoming 13. hope to have good news bout that very soon.

VERACRUZ VERACRUZ VERACRUZ!!!

So im here again in México, im spending some time with my family in Veracruz, having a good time but fighting with the heat. Its so hot here its amazing I dont really understand how the spanish people came 500+ years ago and walked this lands in woolen clothes with plates and iron helmets, and carring guns and spears and swords... shit I just wear some shorts and tshirt and im fuckt so i really dont know how they did it. i know a lot of people will prolly say something about global warming... my balls!! it has always been hot.

well here is some of the stuff im working since i came i have found some trouble finding some suplies, for example i just found one oilpaint store in Veracruz (im in the port) and it was wierd just very little stock as well as other things like inks and brushes, but problem solver i got some from Brownsville and then i started... ohhh paper is very sledom found, i mean good paper for watercolour and the like.

but well other than that i have found the expereince quite amusing, more compared to my time in Norway that was most of it below 0.

and here it is. some oilpaints and some other things!

I made this one last year while staying in Dario´s house i found my self for the first time trying to do something like my booklets but in a canvas. I really liked it fun fun fun.

this one is one i made for my brother he likes a lot.

this one is in my mothers office i made this little painting about 5 or 6 years ago she stole it from me and placed it in her office.. its so fun to come and see how much my paitning have been changeing in the last years .

This one and the next ones have been made here in Veracruz, most of them are experiments with glue oil painting and house paint. they are not part of a project but just for the sake of experimenting for my next project. other thing i have been having trouble to find here is wood. its very dificult to find.

this orange one is a fix form another painting my brother got a few months ago, i didnt liked it a lot so i tryed some glue over and then color for textures im getting into textures this year so i need to experiment. the first picture of this post is the detail of this painting there you can see a little better what i say about textures.

and this blue one is a try on some very comercial shitty gallery painting for sell some crap. hehehe but the colors turned good so im still working it, probably wil lturn to be something totally diferent in the end. lets see ill for sure promise to post soon the results and i wil ltake like a year or something to do... it always happen.

Here are a couple of pictures form the booklet 11 i just had battery for two of them but i htink ill finish up some good pictures of the booklet and post them. in the mean time ill just post this two one of them is the cube, i always do this cube, i like it.

this other one is just some new markers and the tests of them.

thats it im taking more pictures of the booklet and keep looking for wood for my next project
